Welcome to the place that will rid you of every euro existent without even second guessing your night out. Some lose their dignity, some lose their phone, and everyone loses their swimmers for the nude beaches. But for the price you pay it is completely and utterly worth it! I stayed at 2 different places and got 2 completely different experiences. Staying on the secluded part of the island with Stoke Travel was without a doubt the best decision of my life. Yeah it was camping, yeah it was far from the nightclubs and yeah it broke the bank but for unlimited beer and sangria all day everyday your guaranteed to have the best time of your life...and also you get to know everyone on a personal level with constant honesty and confidence awaiting you in the fridge. This place is a hidden gem and gosh I'm lucky to have found it! It's so crazy to say but 5 nights with a bunch of randoms felt more like a family to me than my immediate one with no topic of conversation off boundaries. Fun filled adventurous days and crazy nightlife with a team like I had was so heartwarming. The best part?? An ocean awaiting your morning wake up ready to instantly cure your hangover!
As for the four staff they are absolutely amazing and are all just as down to earth as each other. Each morning they are full of energy ready to ensure constant laughter and smiling for every hour of each day! Shoutout to Blake, Hamish, Siobhan and Chantel! I'm not going to lie I was holding back tears (and I'm sure everyone else was too)when one of the fam would go their separate ways after their time had concluded.
I left the crew and made my way to Hostel Giramundo in Ibiza town. Location was prime especially with ocean views from your doorstep...but it would never be as great as my camping experience. That was made evident when i paid for 3 nights accomodation and didn't even sleep there one of the nights, i pretty much paid 120€ for luggage storage. Two of those nights were spent crashing on the beach back at the campsite(even though it was a two hour bus ride away) and one night spent dancing into sunrise exiting the club at 7am at peak exhaustion with some fellow Germans who had adopted me for the night.
The travellers who flock to Ibiza have quite a large age range which surprised me until I realised Ibiza is the definition of freedom. Whether your there to relax, soaking up the sun and warm waters or whether your young and dumb out to dance your little heart out, your guaranteed a retreat from the realities of life.
Lanas tipsy tips for Ibiza 1. Do the Sea Experience boat party. It's the biggest one on the island holding 500 people. It consists of 6 hours of dancing with a DJ on board, unlimited cocktails and champagne showers. It also includes free entry into Sankeys and Swag(clubs) 2. The 3 words you need to know are hola(hello), gracias (thankyou) and adios( goodbye). It will get you a long way I promise and the locals love it. 3. Make sure you know what your getting yourself into cost wise. Clubs will cost you between 35€-80€ just for entry. 4. The Zoo Project- Get your face painted with animal print and dance until you collapse in an abandoned zoo, there is 4 stages with different music set up in each animal sanctuary. It's honestly like nothing else in the world!
